St. Xose Biography
St. Xose is a shapeshifter. Born in Colombia, forged in the afterhours of New York City, and now rooted in Minnesota, he moves through sound with the discipline of a crate-digger and the instinct of a futurist. From sacred sets at Cielo, The Panther Room, and Flash D.C., to the sweaty basements and vinyl sanctuaries that defined a generation, he’s carved out a lane that defies trend and timeline.
A producer, selector, and sonic architect, his sound is a raw, pulsating blend of house, techno, and electro—driven by Latin rhythm and analog heat. With releases on his own Inregistrari_Interplanetare (BCN), Brooklyn Sway, and as an A&R for Cutline Records, St. Xose is both curator and creator, never far from the decks or the boards.
In a world obsessed with algorithms, St. Xose is analog on purpose. His sets are sermons—long-form, vinyl-rooted, spiritually charged. He’s not playing for the ‘Gram; he’s playing for the heads who close their eyes and lose time at 6AM.
Now in Minneapolis, he co-leads Plush MPLS—an inclusive, future-forward music and art concept channeling both underground ethos and radical community. For St. Xose, it’s not just about sound—it’s about space: who gets in, who gets heard, and how it all feels when the lights are low
